The Right Facility for Your Procedure — Not Just the Nearest One
Dr. Andrei considers multiple factors when recommending which facility is appropriate for a given patient and procedure. Geography matters — but it is not the only factor. Procedure complexity, need for overnight stay, and whether the case is outpatient-appropriate all determine where your surgery is scheduled.
The three hospital affiliations (McLaren Lapeer, McLaren Flint, Henry Ford Rochester) handle all inpatient cases and complex same-day procedures. Lapeer County Surgery Center handles straightforward outpatient procedures where a dedicated surgical center provides a focused, efficient same-day experience without hospital admission.
